Masseria Lanzolla is located in the hearth of  Metapontino, an expanse of land between hills and plains overlooking the Ionian sea on the eastern part of the region Basilicata. In this area, also known as Lucania, the flourishing civilization of Magna Graecia developed. Of that, today we still see traces in the numerous archaeological sites.

This area is the richest in Basilicata for cultivations. From here many genuine and traditional products are exported everywhere in the world.

A few miles away is Matera, the city of the Sassi, Unesco World Heritage site since 1993
